It's a learned skill and I've mastered it. Took me a couple years, but I'm there. I'm SO there that the title of my second book is "I Brag." This brings me to my ultimate 2009 accomplishment... I brag that in 2009 I got published my first AND second books! The first book "About Me For You: My Thoughts, My Poems, My Life" was released in late August. It's my collection of poems written from age 13 to the present. All have dates attached to them. Almost all rhyme. All mean the world to me. They chronicle who I am and some of what I've been through. You can get it directly from the publisher at http://www.eloquentbooks.com/AboutMeForYou.html or go to Amazon or Barnes & Noble online and look up Annie Chau. The second book "I Brag." is still in production and will be released within a couple months. I just approved the cover before the holidays so I'm waiting to approve the back cover before it goes to print. The publisher's teams took a holiday break too. This is not poetry. It's a collection of my brags & swamps (blog posts on a private site I belong to through Mama Gena's School of Womanly Arts). Through the encouragement of many sister goddesses who have been following my life, I gathered up my posts (some of them quite steamy) and put them into a book...with explanations and character builds. It's very "Sex and the City" but with a touch of "Eat, Pray, Love". This book "I Brag." is the first of my brag series. I'm in the middle of writing the next two books of my series and they will release in 2010. I'm also about 30 poems into my next collection of poems so I should be able to release my next book of poetry within a couple years. I brag that I maintain a full time "day job" in Corporate America while doing all of this! For 2010, I'd like to predict the future... I brag that I will release books #2, #3, AND #4. I brag that my books will inspire a movie. I brag that this author dream job of mine will be so successful that I will be able to leave my corporate day job. I brag that I will get engaged to the love of my life and he will continue to be my biggest supporter. He WANTS me to write full time! He TELLS me he can't wait to call me his wife! I tell HIM he has to call me his fiance first. ;) 2007 I struggled to leave the pain behind...but finally did. 2008 I started my life over. 2009 I succeeded. 2010 I will thrive. I brag easily now. I launched a consulting program and have 3 fantastic clients. I got to attend many blogging conferences and I took 365 more photos as part of my Photo-A-Day Project. I sent out proposals to many companies and asked for things directly. I made so many fantastic connections and friends. While we had personal setbacks we are stronger for it and are so lucky to have one of the smartest charismatic kids in the world. This was a banner year for my blog. I launched a consulting program and have 3 fantastic clients. I got to attend many blogging conferences and I took 365 more photos as part of my Photo-A-Day Project. I sent out proposals to many companies and asked for things directly. I made so many fantastic connections and friends.

While we had personal setbacks we are stronger for it and are so lucky to have one of the smartest charismatic kids in the world.
